State chartered banks, savings associations, money transmitters, and credit unions are regulated by the Division of Financial Institutions (DFI) within the Ohio Department of Commerce. DFI also regulates certain non-depository licensees, including mortgage brokers/loan officers, check cashers/check cash lenders, credit service organizations, pawnbrokers/precious metals dealers, premium finance companies, second mortgage lenders, and small loan companies.

The federal agency responsible for child support enforcement is the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) which is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). It establishes standards for state programs. In Ohio, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) is the designated agency and within ODJFS, the Office of Child Support has the primary responsibility for the child support program. Each county in Ohio is required to establish a separate child support enforcement agency (CSEA). Thus, responsibility for the child support program in Ohio is shared by the state and each of Ohio's 88 counties.

ODJFS - Criminal Activity
Contact your local county prosecutor. Under Ohio law, the Attorney General's Office cannot investigate allegations of criminal activity in a political subdivision unless requested by a duly empowered law enforcement official within the jurisdiction. In Ohio, the local prosecutor is the chief law officer for the county, and “may inquire into the commission of crimes within the county. The prosecuting attorney shall prosecute, on behalf of the state, all complaints, suits, and controversies in which the state is a party, except for those required to be prosecuted by a special prosecutor pursuant to section 177.03 of the Revised Code or by the Attorney General pursuant to section 109.83 of the Revised Code [investigation of organized criminal activity].” ORC § 309.08. - Debts owed to the State of Ohio or Collections Enforcement Questions
The Attorney General is given power to collect moneys due the state and its agencies or may secure a judgment and issue an execution for its collection. A state officer or employee certifying a claim to the Attorney General for collection must supply all necessary information for the collection of the delinquent charges. The Attorney General has further powers to enforce payment as are given to the officers, boards or commissions originally certifying the charges.

- Discrimination Complaints
The Ohio Civil Rights Commission is charged with preventing any person from engaging in unlawful discriminatory practices. Whenever it is charged in writing and under oath by a person, that any person has engaged in unlawful discriminatory practices, or upon its own initiative in matters relating to unlawful discriminatory employment practices, the Commission may initiate a preliminary investigation.
